I have a Colecovision

I have waited 32 years to own one of these. Whenever my parents took me and my sister shopping my favorite thing to do was find the electronics section and drool. Sam Solomon’s was the greatest store as there were multiple consoles hooked up and ready to play. It was there that I discovered the Colecovision. I fell in love instantly, playing Donkey Kong & Smurfs while my folks shopped. The graphics were so much better than the Atari and the Intellevision. There was a rollerball controller, a racing controller, an attachment to play Atari 2600 games, and it could hook up to the ADAM computer.

Funny side note, I only have one game for it, GORF. When I cut it on today it turned out to be Donkey Kong Jr. My only guess is that the original owner swapped them out because the DK Jr case broke.

Thanks to the joys of Craigslist I picked up a PS3 with a broken Blu-Ray drive for $30. Twenty dollars in parts later and it works perfect. It even plays PS2 games.

I also grabbed the keyboard controllers for the Atari 2600 with the box. Been wanting these for a while. Now to get Basic Programming

At the flea market I will find games that are common for $5-10 and at play n’ trade they are $1. Just because someone posted it on ebay for that amount does not mean that is what it’s worth. Drives me insane.
